What should I expect during my first massage therapy session?
During your first session, you'll discuss your health history, any specific concerns or areas of pain, and your preferences with your therapist. The therapist will then guide you through the process, explain the techniques used, and ensure you’re comfortable throughout the session. You’ll be asked to undress to your level of comfort and will be draped with sheets or towels for privacy. The room is cozy, private, comfortable and filled with relaxing music to help you relieve stress and tension.
How long is the massage therapy session?
Massage sessions typically last between 30 to 90 minutes. Common durations are 60 minutes for a full-body massage and 30 minutes for targeted treatments. The duration can be adjusted based on your needs and preferences. We offer 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute increments. All sessions include up to 10 minutes for consulting and changing, and the rest of the time will be spent with hands-on treatment.
What should I wear to my massage appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your appointment. You will undress to your level of comfort during the massage, and your modesty will be maintained with sheets or towels.
How often should I get a massage?
The frequency of massages depends on your individual needs and goals. For general wellness, once a month might be sufficient. For specific issues like chronic pain or stress, more frequent sessions may be beneficial, as recommended by your therapist. We will consult with you and make a recommendation.
