Consultation: Your treatment begins with a consultation with our licensed medical aesthetician where we discuss your skin concerns and goals. Our team will assess your skin and recommend the best course of action.
Treatment Process: During the procedure, a specialized device will be used to create tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin. Most patients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure.
Recovery: There’s little downtime with Microneedling. You may experience some redness or mild swelling, similar to a mild sunburn, which typically fades within a few hours to a day.
Results: Results begin to appear after about 1-2 weeks as your body starts producing more collagen. Full results are usually visible in about 4-6 weeks. Results are best when you complete a series of 3 or more spaced 21-28 days apart.

In this video, we start the Microneedling treatment after 30-minutes of numbing.
Microneedling (also known as microchanneling) is performed by one of our highly trained medical aestheticians. Microneedling is great for collagen production, skin resurfacing, and anti-aging benefits. Specifically, microneedling can treat acne scars, deep wrinkles, loose skin, and so much more. It boosts collagen production and replaces volume.
Microneedling also helps to get medical grade serums below the surface of the skin to further promote collagen production, hydration and healing.
A series of microneedling treatments will help address a variety of concerns at the same time - with little to no pain or downtime!
During this video, we talk about the importance of completing a series of treatments - 3 or more - in order to get the best results from microneedling.
We also discuss the different quadrants of the face and how they are treated during the microneedling session. The forehead is a more sensitive area where you can experience some pinching, and some people get a little pinpoint bleeding, but it is tolerable and beneficial for the skin. Your therapist will help you feel most comfortable during the procedure.
We also discuss how we use different serums for different skin conditions, like dry skin versus acne.
The good news is that microneedling is a non-invasive procedure that is almost painless, and the treatment will be customized for your skin type and skin care goals.

What are the common conditions that Microneedling can treat?
Acne Scars: Microneedling can improve the appearance of acne scars by stimulating collagen production and remodeling the skin's texture.
Fine Lines and Wrinkles: It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by boosting collagen production, which enhances skin firmness and elasticity.
Skin Texture and Tone: Microneedling can even out skin texture and tone by improving cell turnover and addressing issues like rough skin or discoloration.
Hyperpigmentation: It can help reduce the appearance of dark spots, age spots, and sun damage by encouraging the turnover of skin cells.
Stretch Marks: Microneedling can also improve the appearance of stretch marks by stimulating collagen production in the affected areas.
Enlarged Pores: By increasing collagen around pores, microneedling can help reduce their size and make the skin appear smoother.
Hair Loss: Microneedling is sometimes used in combination with topical treatments (like minoxidil) to stimulate hair growth in areas affected by androgenic alopecia (male and female pattern baldness).
Rosacea: In some cases, microneedling can help with the redness and thickening of the skin associated with rosacea, although it's important to consult with a professional to determine if it's appropriate for your case.

What products do you use for Microneedling?
We use several different skin pens with varying depths, and the device and needle depth used depends on your personal skin care needs. We use Dermalogica serums to infuse treatments into the skin. You medical aesthetician will go over all of this with you, so you know what is being used during your treatment.
How are the medical aesthetics customized for each patient?
You will complete an intake form explaining your goals and experience to us. Then our medical aesthetician will spend time with you during a 1:1 consultation to discuss your individual needs, evaluating your skin and discussing your skincare goals and what you would like to receive from your experience. They will then make a recommendation for you and ensure your comfort and confidence in the procedure.
Does Microneedling hurt?
Microneedling can be painful without numbing. We use a topical lidocaine to numb your skin so you don't feel any pain. Some areas might be a little "pinchy", but it is tolerable.
In general, most people report mild to no discomfort during microneedling, often described as a slight stinging or pinching sensation. The discomfort is usually brief and well-tolerated. If pain is a concern, discussing it with our medical aesthetician beforehand so she can help address any anxieties and ensure you're as comfortable as possible during the procedure.
